About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic and strong performing 1st Class Machinist / CNC Operator.
With the option of residing in either Dampier or Karratha, this role will report to the Workshop Supervisor working a 5/5 4/5 5/4 dayshift only roster.
This role will predominantly involve turning, boring, milling and slotting, working to machine components for assembly and refurbishment of new and existing Fixed Plant Equipment including, but not limited to, machining various shafts and pins, bushes, sleeves, collars, couplings, facing and bevelling components, machining a range of threaded components and general machining of various configuration.
This role is within the Workshop maintenance team completing rebuild and refurbishment work as per business requirements and requires experience on a broad range of equipment including:
- Lathes – CNC and manually operated horizontal and vertical lathes
- Borers – Horizontal manual control
- Mills– Horizontal and vertical manual control
- Slotter – Manual control vertical
- Current high risk work license (LF & DG) desirable

- Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Show demonstrated experience work to quality assurance systems
- Be able to demonstrate high level of application in safe work practices at all times
- This a highly varied, challenging, and responsible position working in a dynamic/progressive team offering excellent long term opportunities
- An Australian manual drivers’ licence
- Eligible to work in Australia without requiring visa sponsorship
