Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) Conseiller(ère) Principal(e) en Productivité, afin d’assurer la productivité et le plein potentiel de l’organisation.
Sous l’autorité duchef de service performance, productivité et planification, vous aurez les responsabilités suivantes :
- Cartographieret maintenir à jour de la chaine de valeur des sites et de l’organisation
- Faciliter des activités d’amélioration complexes en lien avec la chaîne de valeur (DMAAC, résolution de problèmes)
- Identifier les goulots et proposer des pistes d’amélioration (VSM, contraintes)
- Responsable de travail avec les bonnes parties prenantes afin d’augmenter la capacité de l’usine
- Exercer une vigie sur les processus
- Travailler sur la productivité en général (de la main d’œuvre, des actifs, des sources de gaspillages, optimisation des temps de cycle)
- Opérationnaliser des projets du plan stratégique
- Coordonner les activités du cycle d’amélioration
- Travailler en collaboration avec les conseillers excellence opérationnelle
- Agir comme responsable de la formation dans le domaine de la productivité
- Assurer le partage des bonnes pratiques entre les installations
- Exercer une veille sur les meilleures pratiques internes et externes en productivité
- Travailler en collaboration avec l’équipe Automatisation et data analytique
À propos de vous
Pour que votre candidature soit prise en considération, les exigences sont les suivantes :
- Baccalauréat en science, en génie industriel ou tout autre domaine pertinent
- Minimum 10 ans d’expérience dont 3 à 5 ans dans un poste similaire
- Certification ceinture noire ou autre qualification similaire reconnue
- Maitriser le français et l’anglais à l’oral et à l’écrit. Rio Tinto est une entreprise mondiale et les fonctions de ce poste exigent une collaboration quotidiennement avec des collègues, des équipes ou des partenaires basés à l’extérieur du Québec
- Connaissance d’un environnement Lean, Six Sigma

Emplacement du poste
Rio Tinto Aluminium est présent au Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean depuis plus de 100 ans. Dans la région, nos installations comprennent une raffinerie d’alumine, quatre usines d’électrolyse, six centrales hydroélectriques, notre Centre de recherche et de développement Arvida, le Centre opérationnel aluminium, un chemin de fer et un port. Nos usines d’électrolyse à la fine pointe de la technologie produisent de l’aluminium certifié « responsable ».

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Productivity to ensure productivity and the full potential of the organization.
Under the leadership of the Head of Performance, Productivity, and Planning, your responsibilities will include:
- Mapping and updating the value chain of sites and the organization
- Facilitating complex improvement activities related to the value chain (DMAAC, problem-solving)
- Identifying bottlenecks and suggesting areas for improvement (VSM, constraints)
- Working with relevant stakeholders to increase plant capacity
- Monitoring processes
- Enhancing overall productivity (workforce, assets, waste reduction, cycle time optimization)
- Operationalizing projects from the strategic plan
- Coordinating improvement cycle activities
- Collaborating with operational excellence advisors
- Acting as the productivity training lead
- Ensuring the sharing of best practices across facilities
- Monitoring internal and external best practices in productivity
- Collaborating with the Automation and Data Analytics team
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, industrial engineering, or any other relevant field
- At least 10 years of experience, with 3 to 5 years in a similar position
- Black Belt certification or similar recognized qualification
- Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Rio Tinto is a global company, and this role requires daily collaboration with colleagues, teams, or partners based outside of Quebec
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma environment
- Results-oriented, analytical skills, and teamwork spirit

Location of the Role
The position holder will be required to work in the Saguenay region or Montreal.
Rio Tinto Aluminium has been present in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean for over 100 years. In the region, our operations include an alumina refinery, four smelters, six hydroelectric plants, our Arvida Research and Development Centre, the Aluminium Operations Centre, a railway, and a port. Our state-of-the-art smelters produce “responsible” certified aluminum.
