Conseiller(ere) Principale, partenaire d’affaires Finances
- Apporter sa contribution dans une organisation commerciale et au sein du groupe Aluminium, avec des ventes de 10 à 15 milliards de dollars.
- Définir notre stratégie, démontrer des connaissances approfondies en finances et faire preuve d’un sens aigu des affaires pour conseiller nos gestionnaires sur des projets complexes et passionnants.
- De concert avec l’équipe de direction des Affaires commerciales de l’Aluminium, maîtriser l’analyse de la performance des revenus et les indicateurs clés de performance afin d’influer sur les résultats futurs et d’en soutenir l’exécution.
- Collaborer étroitement avec les parties prenantes à l’échelle mondiale dans les domaines des opérations, des risques, de l’analyse de marché, de la stratégie, des services fiscaux et de la trésorerie.
Au sujet du poste
Nous sommes à la recherche d’un ou d’une Conseiller (ere) Principale, partenaire d’affaires des Finances pour notre division Affaires commerciales dans la région de l’Atlantique.
Il s’agit d’une formidable occasion de travailler avec de multiples parties prenantes afin de fournir des conseils à l’entreprise et de soutenir l’élaboration et l’exécution du processus décisionnel stratégique. Relevant du principal partenaire d’affaires des Finances pour les Affaires commerciales du groupe Aluminium, la personne recherchée est enthousiaste et curieuse. Il lui incombera d’effectuer les tâches suivantes.
Améliorer la gestion de la performance en fournissant des informations commerciales et financières :
- Produire des renseignements concrets sur la performance financière, grâce à une multitude d’analyses financières.
- Repérer les occasions et les risques, et faire des recommandations de manière proactive.
- Permettre à la direction, au sein des Affaires commerciales et des Opérations, de suivre les progrès par rapport au plan et de remettre en question les écarts.
- Assurer une budgétisation et une gestion adéquate des coûts de soutien a l’l’entreprise, en collaboration avec le Contrôle financier.
Contribuer à l’élaboration de la stratégie et de la planification de l’entreprise :
- Influencer la haute direction dans l’élaboration des stratégies et des priorités commerciales et dans l’obtention de résultats.
- Travailler en partenariat avec les équipes Analyse de marché et Analyse des affaires pour collaborer aux investissements majeurs et soutenir les négociations commerciales importantes.
- Modéliser les plans financiers et les prévisions pour l’entreprise.
Soutenir la gestion des risques et l’assurance :
- En collaboration avec l’équipe Risques, Affaires commerciales, déceler les risques liés aux nouvelles initiatives (par exemple, le commerce, les partenariats et les autres initiatives touchant la clientèle).
- Favoriser l’efficience et l’efficacité des processus de gouvernance et de conformité pertinents pour nos activités (y compris le programme SOx et les audits).
- Mener des initiatives de changement et de transformation au sein des Finances
Votre contribution
Pour que votre candidature soit prise en considération, les exigences sont les suivantes :
- Solides compétences analytiques pour contribuer à la réflexion stratégique et prospective.
- Au moins sept ans d’expérience en finances (par exemple, CFA, MBA, CA), idéalement dans le secteur des produits de base.
- Expérience et efficacité à gérer une grande diversité de parties prenantes ainsi qu’à établir des relations.
- Solide expérience en matière d’influence et de travail avec des équipes diverses dans un modèle matriciel.
- Recherche de l’amélioration continue, de la création de valeur et de l’atténuation des risques.

Principal Advisor, Finance Business Partner, Commercial Aluminium

- With the Commercial Aluminium leadership team, own the revenue performance analysis and KPI’s to influence future performance and support its execution

About the role
We are looking for a Principal Advisor, Finance Business Partner for our Commercial division in the Atlantic.
The role is a fantastic opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders to provide advice to the business and support the development and execution of strategic decision making. Reporting to the lead Finance Business Partner, Commercial Aluminum we are looking for an enthusiastic and curious individual to:
Drive performance management by providing commercial and financial insight to:
- Provide actionable insights into financial performance, through production of a wide range of financial analysis
- Identify opportunities and risks, and pro-actively make recommendations
- Enable leadership, across Commercial and Operations, to hold the organisation to account, monitor progress against plan and challenge variances
- Enable proper support costs budgeting and management for the business in conjunction with Controllership
Contribute to the development of business strategy and planning
- Influence senior management in shaping commercial strategies, priorities and delivering outcomes
- Partner with Market Analysis and Business Analysis to collaborate on major investments and support significant commercial negotiations
- Model financial plans and forecasts for the business
Support risk management and assurance:
- Together with Commercial Risk, identify risks for new initiatives (e.g. trading, partnerships and other customer initiatives)
- Enable the efficiency and effectiveness of associated governance and compliance processes relevant to our businesses (including SOx and audits)
- Drive change initiatives and transformation in Finance
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Strong analytical skills to contribute and support strategic and forward thinking
- 7+ years finance experience (e.g. CFA, MBA, CA), ideally with exposure to commodities
- Experience effectively managing a wide range of stakeholders and building relationships
- Strong background of influencing and working with diverse teams in a matrix model
- Drive for continuous improvement, value creation and risks
- Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken. Rio Tinto is a global company and the duties of this position require daily collaboration with colleagues, teams or partners based outside Quebec.
