About the role:
This role will report to the Principal of Fixed Plant – Mechanical & Process category in the newly established Studies and Programs team. The program lead will be expected to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders’ across our business at a divisional level, along with our engineering partners. You will form relationships with multiple divisions Sustaining Capital supports; and as a by-product this role will attract a broad business exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Establishment : Develop a program charter to define the strategy for delivering the program that provides a consistent approach across all applicable RTIO Pilbara operations.
- Execution Planning: Support study leads with developing program and project execution plans, for pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, implementation and commissioning phases.
- Program Execution: Coordinate the roll out of the program with a team of Study Leads and Engineers, delivering projects across RTIO Pilbara operations. Assess quality of study deliverables
- Relationship Management: Manage relationships with site leaders, asset owners (e.g., PMO, SCS, OTS), and contracting partners.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage directly with Delivery Superintendents to ensure projects are adequately supported and resourced.
- Communication: Provide regular communication and reporting on program metrics to key stakeholders.
- Strategic Sourcing: Engage with the Sustaining Capital Strategic Sourcing team to develop procurement and contracting strategies for the program and regularly review the sourcing strategy for projects in the program.
- Schedule and Risk Management: Manage the program master schedule and risk register, providing updates on changes to the pipeline of works.
- Improvement: Support the improvement of the project delivery systems, processes and procedures ensuring that they are standardised and embedded across the team.
- Lessons Learned: Manage lessons learned across the program, ensuring effective communication of successes and proposed improvements.
- Team Leadership: Support Study Leads, coordinating efforts between the projects and providing high level guidance to identify project issues and develop appropriate solutions.
- Performance Monitoring: Oversee the development and control of deadlines, budgets, and activities.
- Study Management: Depending on the complexity of the program and available capacity, program lead could lead a strategic study
What you’ll bring:

- Experience in program management or similarly leading multiple scopes of work synergistically
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Thorough understanding of project, program and design management
- Experience across OoM, PFS, and FS study phases and our project management framework, specifically in the electrical discipline
- D7 Functional safety, process control, and process optimisation
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) or equivalent is required (due to the specialist nature of all projects within this program);
- Experience in C2 electrical safety pertaining to fixed plant along with D7 functional safety; and
- Experience in electrical package management on multi-disciplinary projects and/or program management experience highly regarded.
- Demonstrable experience in site delivery / commissioning of electrical projects will be beneficial

Where you’ll be working:
Based at Central Park, Perth, where you will be working within an integrated Project Team. This is a 5 day on 2 days off roster (Mon to Fri) with adhoc site travel. Flexible working arrangements are also available.
