Join our team as a Warehouse Supervisor, where you'll lead a team of Warehouse professionals in executing warehouse and inventory activities while ensuring consistent application of management processes. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability and safety of our assets.

Reporting to the Warehouse Superintendent, and working a Monday to Friday 8-hour day shift, you will be:
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environment (HSE) for all warehouse employees, contractors, and visitors involved in materials management operations.
- Overseeing warehouse staff in their daily duties, assigning tasks and scheduling workloads to meet material demands, including supporting after-hours needs as required.
- Establishing daily and weekly routines for the Lean Program to communicate key processes, address issues, and drive continuous improvement through problem-solving.
- Overseeing all receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, ensuring that shipping and logistics adhere to Rio Tinto, Provincial, and Federal policies and regulations.
- Maintaining security of the warehouse facilities and operations, ensuring compliance with Rio Tinto security policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with the warehouse team and training department to develop and monitor training plans, supporting role competency from basic safety standards through to advanced operational proficiency (i.e. journeyman accreditation).
- Continuously assessing and optimizing warehouse processes to drive efficiency and safety.
What you’ll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Minimum 5 years of industrial warehousing experience, with 5 years in a supervisory role within a unionized environment.
- Expertise in warehouse operations and management practices, including warehouse optimization projects (e.g., kitting/staging, layouts, infrastructure).
- Skilled in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures.
- Proficient in Warehouse and Inventory Management software, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Effective leadership skills: ability to set direction, prioritize tasks, achieve objectives, and effectively engage and motivate team members.
- Clear, concise communication and strong organizational skills.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED, with a valid B.C. Class 7 (Novice) driver’s license or another Canadian province equivalent.

The base salary range for this role is $84,000 – $126,000 CAD in addition to allowances, bonus, equity, health or retirement benefits, and any other discretionary benefits offered at Rio Tinto. Our base salary ranges are based on role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by the skills, experience, and impact you bring to the role.
