New Zealand’s Aluminium Smelter (NZAS), also known as Tiwai, , are on the look-out for a curious minded person to be part of a high performing team committed to providing business talent solutions across multiple business lines, supporting all site-based roles.
In this 12-month fixed term role as our new Talent Acquisition Partner, you’ll work closely with local community groups and iwi, stakeholders and support services, and be a vital part of our external partnerships committed to making meaningful impacts within the community.
Initial commencement in this role will be based in our Brisbane, Australia office for period of approx. 1-4weeks.
What You’ll be doing

Identify key talent and proactively build and engage with candidates to create active talent pools

Establish, develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of talent needs and the translation of this into an effective recruitment strategy

Embed yourself into the community, map out and participate in local recruitment and career campaigns and early career drives.

Facilitate and support end-to-end recruitment activities across multiple disciplinaries within the business with a strong focus on people, processes, and continuous improvement.

Some travel is required nationally and to Brisbane, Australia.

Collaborate with the wider People Experience team and business leaders to understand the workforce plan and hiring requirements to ensure sourcing strategies meet the business needs

Utilise reports and analysis of recruitment activities as a basis for continuous improvement in stakeholder relationship by highlighting concerns/issues and providing appropriate recommendations

Provide regular pre-defined recruitment and sourcing key performance indicators, metrics and progress updates

Identify and recommend areas for improvement in recruitment and sourcing processes and systems

Deliver exceptional candidate care to potential employees, ensuring a smooth onboarding process

Elevate our employer branding through online platforms promoting Rio Tinto as an employer of choice
What You’ll Bring

Significant internal recruitment experience across professional and entry level roles

Strong influencing skills and stakeholder partnering skills
-
Ability to work independently, build pipelines across both trades, entry level and professional roles

Sound ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads including ad hoc project work

Demonstrated experience sourcing hard-to-fill roles in a candidate short market using LinkedIn Recruiter, Seek talent search or similar candidate databases

Experience with enterprise-wide operating recruitment systems, the use of Workday would be advantageous
-
Cultural competence and ideally hands-on experience working with iwi partners or within co-governance frameworks
