Au sujet du poste
Nous sommes à la recherche de deux (2) Ingénieur en Automates Programmables (PLC) qui seront chargé(e)s d’assurer le fonctionnement sûr, fiable et optimisé des systèmes PLC, DCS, SCADA et de l’automatisation industrielle au sein de l’usine de traitement (MPP) et fournir un soutien d’ingénierie avancé, incluant le développement des logiques de contrôle, le dépannage complexe et l’optimisation des systèmes pour garantir une production stable et efficiente. Ils/Elles piloteront les améliorations d’automatisation, les mises à niveau des systèmes et les initiatives d’optimisation du contrôle des procédés afin de maximiser la disponibilité et la performance opérationnelle.

Postes basés à Canga, ouverts aux Candidats Guinéens uniquement avec un contrat de travail local.
Relevant du Surintendant MPP R&I, Ils/Elles auront les responsabilités ci-dessous :
Gestion des systèmes PLC, DCS & SCADA :
- Développer, tester et maintenir les programmes PLC ainsi que les interfaces HMI, tout en assurant l’intégration avec les systèmes MES, SCADA et les entraînements industriels.
- Maintenir et dépanner les systèmes PLC (Siemens, Allen Bradley/Rockwell, ABB), optimiser et documenter les logiques de contrôle sous gestion rigoureuse du changement, et gérer les réseaux de communication ainsi que les sauvegardes, mises à jour et exigences de cybersécurité.
Boucles de contrôle, instrumentation & stabilité des procédés :
- Assurer le réglage et le dépannage des boucles PID , vérifier l’intégrité des signaux (4–20 mA, HART, Fieldbus) et garantir le bon fonctionnement des interverrouillages, permissifs, logiques ESD et systèmes de sécurité.
- Réaliser des analyses de causes profondes pour résoudre les instabilités de procédé et les arrêts d’équipements liés à l’automatisation.
Support aux projets d’automatisation & mise en service :
- Participer aux FAT/SAT, loop checks, tests fonctionnels, mises sous tension et activités de mise en service, en validant les livrables techniques des contractants et la conformité des matrices d’interverrouillage et logigrammes.
- Garantir que toutes les modifications d’automatisation respectent le processus MoC, sont correctement documentées et supportent l’intégration de nouvelles unités de procédé, équipements ou skids OEM.
Fiabilité, optimisation & amélioration continue :
- Identifier et mettre en œuvre des opportunités d’optimisation : stratégies de contrôle, séquences, alarmes, logiques de démarrage/arrêt et performance des interverrouillages.
- Collaborer avec l’ingénierie fiabilité pour réduire les temps d’arrêt, éliminer les défaillances récurrentes et améliorer la surveillance de l’état des équipements grâce à l’analyse des tendances, alarmes et données historiques.
Sécurité, conformité & gestion des risques :
- Appliquer rigoureusement les standards de sécurité en automatisation (SIS/SIL), LOTOTO, conformité en zones dangereuses (ATEX/IECEx) et protocoles de cybersécurité.
- Réaliser des évaluations de risques, FLRA, participer aux HAZOP/HAZID, enquêtes de défaillances et assurer l’exécution sécurisée des activités de maintenance sur systèmes en fonctionnement.
Documentation, CMMS & reporting :
- Maintenir à jour les logiques de contrôle as built, listes d’E/S, schémas de boucles, diagrammes réseaux et sauvegardes systèmes.
- Mettre à jour le CMMS (SAP/Pronto) avec des données fiables sur les interventions, matériaux et états systèmes, et produire des rapports réguliers sur les performances et améliorations identifiées.
Outils, équipements & gestion des ressources :
- Assurer la disponibilité, la calibration et la bonne utilisation des outils spécialisés d’automatisation (ordinateurs de programmation, analyseurs, testeurs de protocoles).
- Soutenir la gestion des pièces critiques (modules PLC, cartes de communication, composants réseau) et vérifier la conformité des contractants et techniciens aux standards d’automatisation et procédures du site.
Ce que vous apporterez :
- Être titulaire d’un diplôme universitaire en Ingénierie de l’Automatisation, Génie Électrique & Contrôle, Mécatronique, Automatisation Industrielle ou domaine connexe ; une formation fournisseur (Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley, ABB AC800M ou équivalent) constitue un atout.
- Avoir 3 à 7 ans d’expérience en ingénierie d’automatisation PLC/DCS/SCADA dans le secteur minier, industriel lourd, énergétique ou dans des usines de traitement, avec une expérience avérée sur les plateformes Siemens/ABB/Rockwell, les réseaux industriels et l’automatisation de procédés à grande échelle.
- Maîtriser le développement des logiques PLC (Ladder, FBD, S7/SCL/STL, Studio5000), le diagnostic des matériels PLC, des réseaux de communication et des systèmes de contrôle distribués, ainsi que la lecture de P&ID, diagrammes de boucle, matrices causes‑effets, logigrammes et topologies réseau ; une connaissance en cybersécurité, sauvegardes systèmes, gestion de firmware et OT networking est souhaitée.
- Avoir une bonne maîtrise du français (anglais intermédiaire souhaitable), démontrer un leadership fort en matière de sécurité et la capacité à appliquer rigoureusement les protocoles de sécurité en automatisation, tout en collaborant efficacement dans un environnement multiculturel.
- Être capable de travailler sous pression lors des pannes, arrêts et mises en service, disposer d’une aptitude physique adaptée aux environnements miniers (chaleur, poussière, travail en hauteur, espaces confinés) et faire preuve de flexibilité pour les rotations, astreintes et heures prolongées si nécessaire.

About the Simandou Project
The Simandou Iron Ore Project is located in the Republic of Guinea, West Africa. It is Africa’s largest infrastructure and mining project and represents one of the largest known reserves of high-grade iron ore in the world.
Rio Tinto holds rights to Simandou Blocks 3 and 4 through SimFer, a joint venture between the Government of the Republic of Guinea, Rio Tinto and Chalco Iron Ore Holdings (CIOH). Construction of the mine, together with the associated rail and port infrastructure, is well underway with first production from the SimFer mine expected in 2025.
