About the role
We are seeking for a Senior Specialist – Move & Sell Reporting to join the MERP team in Singapore The purpose of the GPO Business Improvement (BI) role is to deliver business-led improvements and successful SAP S/4HANA outcomes for the Move & Sell workstream within the Modern ERP program. The role focuses on executing approved global process designs, improving end‑to‑end Contract‑to‑Cash and Logistics processes, and ensuring high‑quality, compliant delivery through the Realise and Deploy phases of the program.
We are modernising our Contract‑to‑Cash and Logistics processes, reorganising the way work is done, improving efficiency, and deploying best‑of‑suite and best‑of‑breed solutions across the value chain.
You will be responsible for delivering assigned project outcomes within the Move & Sell workstream during the Realise and Deploy phases of the MERP program.The role covers key end‑to‑end processes including contracts, pricing, invoicing, trade finance, intercompany, settlement, credit management, order processing, deliveries and shipment execution, inventory, shipping documentation, shipment costing, import/export logistics, and Transportation Management. You will work as part of Move & Sell GPO Fusion Team consisting of Workstream lead, Process and Data Leads (Stewards and Custodians), Technology teams and the appointed System Integrator, ensuring high‑quality delivery while maintaining governance, compliance, and enterprise standards.
Reporting to the Modern ERP Move and SELL Workstream Lead, you will:
Project Delivery

Deliver assigned project activities and outcomes in support of the Modern ERP (MERP) Move and Sell workstream commitments.

Owning and leading the execution and quality of approved designs, working in close partnership with the Move & Sell GPO Workstream Lead and GPO Process & Data Leads, ensuring outcomes comply with agreed enterprise standards, design intent and governance expectations.

Define and assure solution quality against business requirements, establishing clear definitions of ready and done, comprehensive acceptance criteria, and test cases, while proactively identifying, raising and driving resolution of gaps in a timely manner to protect build, testing, and deployment outcomes.

End‑to‑end accountability for deliverables across S/4HANA implementation phases, governing and driving testing and data migration activities to meet defined quality, readiness, and deployment criteria.

Own end‑to‑end integration outcomes assigned, validating that global process designs are coherently realised across systems and processes by working with GPO Process & Data Leads, Solution and Data Architects, Technology, and Change specialists, and ensuring alignment to the Modern ERP target state.

Apply delivery tools that supports S4HANA Project and platforms as required (e.g. Azure DevOps, SAP Cloud ALM, Tricentis qTest), with familiarity in tools such as LeanIX considered advantageous.
Business Improvement

Lead continuous improvement with GPO Leads through the design, standardisation, and simplification of end‑to‑end Move and Sell business processes, in line with Fit‑to‑Standard principles.

Identify opportunities to improve business outcomes across the current delivery phase and future roadmap, applying structured improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Safe Production System, BPM).

Leverage process insight and mining tools (e.g. Signavio) to assess process performance, identify gaps, and support evidence‑based decision‑making.
-
Act as an outside‑in advisor to challenge detail designs and delivery approaches, bringing external insights and leading practices to inform and support decisions to uplift solution quality and maximise MERP adoption.

Lead the business cases in close consultation with GPO Leads within Move and Sell with other GPO workstream for future phase requirement. including understanding and articulation of SAP value pillars, strategic pillars, and value trees to quantify and demonstrate value. Monitor end-to-ends submission through MERP Design Authority and initiation.
Stakeholder Collaboration

Work alongside with GPO Process & Data leads to deliver assigned responsibilities and activities.

Collaborate with key stakeholders (business leaders, functional teams, IT, and SI) to gather requirements and ensure the solution aligns with business needs.

Act as a liaison between GPO team and technical SAP S4 implementation team to translate business needs into functional specifications.
Reporting and transaction data

Collaborate with Workstream and Program data team to ensure MERP data Simplification strategy is executed successfully during upgrade to S4.

Ensure the MERP reporting capability minimize development and workaround to meet user needs.
Business Change and Readiness (CAR)
-
Partner with GPO leads, Change and Readiness (CAR) team, appointed SI in developing training requirement artifacts for trainer & end-users that help ensure user adoption for new S4 Hana.

Support the development of business readiness artefacts and documentation (e.g. SOPs, BCPs) to enable sustainable adoption and BAU transition.

Ensure prompt feedback loop to support improvements to readiness of system and adoption.
Project Oversight and Quality Assurance

Work closely with PMO & Workstream Lead & other Process leads to ensure that SAP S4 implementation requirement is delivered on timely basis.

Support project documentation and development of MERP functional design specifications.
-
Apply program best practices, clean core i.e. minimizing customizations and ensuring system flexibility for future enhancements.

Monitor key project metrics, KPIs, and ensure that process performance aligns with targets.
Risk Management
-
Identify and actively support PMO and Workstream lead in managing risks and issues related to process design, providing mitigation strategies.

Actively support PMO and workstream lead in developing mitigation strategies for risks associated with process redesigns, data migration, or system integration.
What you will need for the role
To succeed in this role, you will have:

University degree in either a technical or commercial discipline.
-
Preferably 8 to 14+ years of relevant experience.
-
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex business processes and propose effective solutions.
Process, Data & System
-
Extensive experience and knowledge of Rio Tinto’s process or likes of Contract to Cash (C2C) processes in a Mining Company or similar organisation setting.

SAP S4Hana Contract to cash project experience is highly preferred
-
Experienced in usage of SAP originate data in design of reports or dashboard on KPI, metrics consumed by senior leaders or involved in reporting projects.

Prior experience working in projects that drive end-to-end standardization/simplification or implementation of new end-to-end processes is preferred or at least six sigma yellow belt.

Beneficial to be experienced in design of process-related internal controls.

Experience in using one or more of our project tool ie Azure DevOps, SAP Cloud ALM, Tricentis qTest)

Lead the exploration and application of SAP AI in MERP
Leadership
-
Proven track record in leading teams in project (with internal and external) and fostering a strong team culture with a networked operating model. Preferably in global and cross time zone context. ·

Worked in projects construct and had demonstrated ability to drive success and desired outcome.
SAP Expertise & Implementation experience
-
Preferred to have strong knowledge of ERP systems and their capabilities (specifically S/4 HANA) in Contract to Cash.

Experienced as key appointment holder in large implementation project using project methodologies like Waterfall or Agile.
Relationship and communication
-
Required ability to build strong relationships with key users and project team ·

Required experience with effective communication providing project activities update and prompt escalations.

Beneficial to have experience with Influence decisions and lead the key stakeholder communications, and internal and external engagements.
