About the role

We are looking for an Officer Emergency Services. In this role, you will be responsible for providing emergency response and medical support to site-based incidents as required.

Reporting to the Emergency Services Supervisor, you will:

• Respond to clinical treatments
• Respond to incidents, maydays and medical emergencies
• Responsible for transfers, medical, hospital and RFDS
• Preparation for response, ERT, equip, fleet, checks, ER response planning and testing
• Conduct mayday, alarm and communication checks
• Recruit, train, equip, induct, onboard, mentor ERT
• Fit testing support with OH team
• Responsible for fire warden, evacuation drills and preparation

What you’ll bring   

• Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance)
• Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue (or equivalent individual competencies)
• Certificate in Alcohol and Other Drugs Collection
• Proven leadership experience
• High proficiency in computer and technology platforms
• Experience in Incident Command, Business Resilience, and familiarity with Rio Tinto ES systems, including working knowledge of the GAP Portal and other dashboard platforms
