About the role
This is a customer-centric role that requires excellent communication and stakeholder engagement at all levels in the organisation, a strong understanding of the Iron Ore business and the ability to operate across a large geographical area.
In this role you will be expected to provide technical and non-technical advice and by demonstrating great facilitation skills, must be able to scope and coordinate the efforts of resources at various levels inside and outside of IS&T.
Your role provides governance of the portfolio of work IS&T is delivering for our Pilbara Mines, underpinned by continuous improvement as well as hands on support, as required for major services and initiatives.
You will work closely with site, central operations teams and IS&T specialists to enable seamless digital integration, optimise IS&T services and drive operational efficiency.
As our Senior Advisor your role adds value without duplicating the efforts of Group IT teams or the Iron Ore Digital division – instead, the Senior Advisor facilitates across these groups, where required, to ensure a unified approach to achieving best operator.
Responsibilities
Business Engagement

Support the Manager, Partnering, in aligning IT strategy with Iron Ore production, maintenance, and asset management priorities.

Provide IS&T Portfolio Governance for accountable areas and ensure demands are prioritised in line with Iron Ore requirements.

Work as a trusted partner with site-based teams to identify and escalate IS&T opportunities, ensuring prompt resolution with a strong focus on continuous service improvement.

Monitor IS&T system/infrastructure performance in partnership with IS&T specialists in line with Iron Ore’s risk management framework.

Collaborate with IS&T service teams and vendors to address IS&T system issues impacting production efficiency.

Assist in disaster recovery planning and business continuity events.

A tertiary qualification in engineering, finance, technology or similar discipline.
