About the role
We are looking for a Senior Advisor Agreement Making to support the negotiation, drafting and internal approval of new agreements and commitments with Traditional Owners. You will provide research, analysis and coordination across the agreement-making process, helping ensure materials, records and approvals are accurate, current and progressed to plan.
Reporting to the Manager Agreement Making or Principal Agreement Making, you will work closely with heritage, legal, commercial and technical teams to prepare negotiation materials, coordinate specialist input and support respectful engagement with Traditional Owner groups and their advisers.
What you’ll be doing

Supporting negotiation, drafting and internal approval of Traditional Owner agreements, including preparation of negotiation materials and coordination of subject matter expert input.

Developing research and benchmarking analysis to inform agreement terms and negotiation strategy.

Analysing past and current agreements to support consistency across the agreement portfolio.

Coordinating heritage, legal, commercial and other technical inputs into agreement development.

Preparing Traditional Owner engagement and meeting materials for negotiations alongside the Principal and Manager Agreement Making.

Maintaining agreement drafts, version control, action trackers, approval documentation and supporting records.

Keeping the Agreement Implementation team informed and tracking agreement risk controls and mitigations.

Identifying emerging agreement risks and escalating them early and appropriately.

This role is based in Perth, Western Australia. Our modern office in the Central Park tower provides an environment designed for collaboration and professional growth. Located in the heart of Perth, the office is close to public transport and several parking options.
You will be part of the Traditional Owner Partnerships team, supporting agreement-making activities that bring together Traditional Owner groups, Prescribed Body Corporates, trustees, local Aboriginal corporations and internal legal, finance, heritage and land access teams.
