About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Dust to join our diverse and collaborative Maintenance Planning and Engineering team.

This is a great opportunity to provide support and assistance to the implementation of asset management programmes / projects / engagements of work. This ill will be primarily responsible for supporting the implementation of the discipline Engineering framework, ensuring safe, cost effective and reliable design and installations are implemented and maintained.
 

Reporting to the Principal Engineering Services and working in a collaborative team environment, you will :

• Development and management of maintenance strategies for dust assets

• Development and management of asset strategy for dust assets including supporting capital planning

• Development and management of associated engineering standards

• Supporting existing operations and projects with technical assistance, guidance and governance

• Leadership of the business dust mitigation working group and reporting through to the Health SteerCo on risks trends and associated actions

• Raise the awareness of the importance of dust assets throughout the business

• Maintain awareness of changing dust asset technologies and their application

What you’ll bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have: 

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

• Tertiary qualification of Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent

• A Current "C Class " WA Driver’s license

• An ability to convert technical knowledge into practical instruction

• Demonstrable experience in whole-of-life asset management

• Experience managing dust assets, ventilation systems, or equivalent equipment, with a focus on innovative solutions and compliance standards (desirable)

• Strong interpersonal skills, including good oral and written skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, able to build relationships with partners and influence in a complex, matrix organisation

• Experience with dashboards, technical reporting, and visualisation tools, such as Visio and Power BI, to translate complex data into actionable insights (desirable)

• Current ‘C’ Class Driver's License (Manual)

Where you’ll be working

This role will be based at our Operations Centre in Perth. This role is offered on a 5 days on, 2 days off weekly roster, with flexibility where required.

Our integrated iron ore network is supported by our Operations Centre (OC) in Perth, a state-of-the-art facility that enables all the autonomous trucks, trains and drills at our mines, ports and rail systems to be operated from a single location. The Centre incorporates visualisation and collaboration tools to provide real-time information across our demand chain and allows us to optimise our mining, maintenance and logistic activities across the Pilbara in a way never before possible. Located near the Perth domestic airport, the OC operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to coordinate our integrated network of mines, rail, and ports from 1,500km away.
