About the Role

We are looking for a Team Lead – IT Site Support (Asia) with the aim of contributing to the IS&T customer service reputation by maintaining a high level of customer-focused service through consistent delivery of professional and polite support.

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Site Support, you will be:

• Coordinating and overseeing Site Support services for our customers in Singapore Global Commercial Hub and the APAC region

• Delivering end-to-end visibility of Rio Tinto’s Site Support Services from an operational perspective

• Working collaboratively with various IS&T teams to ensure first-level support of their managed equipment and services is agreed and understood

• Contributing to the Site Support roadmap for Rio Tinto, integrating operational and support considerations with technical and architectural inputs

• Building and maintaining relationships with key vendor partners

• Leading vendor partners to meet requirements and identifying opportunities for cost savings

• Ensuring operational risk is understood and controls are in place to mitigate or eliminate it

• Managing and aligning customer expectations with IS&T priorities, ensuring incidents and requests are handled per operational requirements

• Working with key contacts at the Business Unit level to understand their environments and ensure Service Support alignment

• Managing complaints and escalations in a service-oriented manner

• Committing to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and activities

About You

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

• A strong safety mindset

• Experience working on an Operations team

• A Bachelor’s Degree in IT or equivalent

• Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)

• Good relationship-building skills

• A successful track record in vendor and contract management

• Experience coordinating resources and a broad understanding of IT equipment and systems

It will also be beneficial if you have:

• Experience working in an IT department of a global, diversified corporation

Where you will be working

Headquartered in Singapore, and integrated with Rio Tinto’s assets, hubs, and offices globally, our Commercial group works hand-in-hand with our product groups to ensure both the amount and types of products we produce meet our customer’s needs, and manage the trade-off between volumes, quality, cost and capital expenditure.
