About the role
We are seeking expressions of interest for a Principal Advisor Productivity to oversee and manage improvement programs and development of best practices across multiple sites and productivity streams. This role is integral in defining leading practices, deploying improvement projects, and providing site support to achieve our Best Operator aspirations.
Reporting to the Manager Productivity within the RTIO Improvement Division, you will work closely with subject matter specialists, advisors, and contractors in areas such as asset management productivity, conveyor productivity, cost productivity, spares management, and labour productivity.
Responsible for current workload and developing new initiatives in the relevant areas your role will include:

Building and maintaining strong leadership relationships with internal stakeholders and external technical specialists

Lead an inclusive culture through collaboration with peers across the broader Improvement, Site and Maintenance Planning & Engineering (MP&E) teams

Lead team of FTEs and project contractors

Lead or support key improvement programs including Unscheduled Loss Reduction, Cost Productivity and Parts Management across FXP and MEM

Maintain and deliver project reports, schedules and budgets

Complete capital submissions, project management and cost management

Identify and endorse new cost productivity opportunities

Support sites to achieve productivity and SPS maturity targets

Provide guidance to RTIO Procurement, MP&E, People teams for alignment on strategy & contracts
What you’ll bring

Strong stakeholder engagement and highly effective communication skills
-
Existing strong networks within internal RTIO stakeholders including Fixed Plant, HME/MEM and Finance
-
High level of experience or understanding of HME maintenance – Trade / Engineering / Planning background

High level of financial acumen and project management experience
-
Ability to influence change and drive leading practice with site leadership

Understanding of SPS practices
-

Where you will be working
This role offers a Monday to Friday roster and based at Rio Tinto’s Perth head office at the Central Park building. The role also offers opportunities to work in our Integrated Operations Centre, near the Perth airport. Ad hoc travel to our Pilbara Mine sites is required for this role.
