We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Production Supervisors join our Mine Operations team at Hope Downs 4. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Supervisor or Coordinator looking to take the next step in their leadership career.

You’ll be part of a friendly team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. With the opportunity to FIFO from Perth, Busselton, or Broome, you’ll work an 8-days-on / 6-days-off and 7-nights-on / 7-nights-off roster. This flexibility will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life. 

Reporting to the Production Superintendent, you will:

• Be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes, whilst providing leadership, development and support to your team.

• Implement production operation plan to maximise productivity while minimizing cost and environmental impact

• Provide positive leadership to a team of operators accountable for delivering high quality scheduled work in a safe and productive manner

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating and implementing improvement opportunities utilising a range of Rio Tinto best practices

• Work closely with Load & Haul, Mine Planning and Maintenance teams to ensure mine plan is met, and balancing the competing priorities to ensure the site achieves targets

• Complete daily inspections of the pit and drive a positive safety culture with your team.

• Build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders to align on operational plans and strategies.

• Responsible for work unit training, safety compliance and departmental scheduling and productivity

• Undertake planning including execute and deliver on the day-to-day and fortnightly plan, organise and allocate resources according to work requirements

Located 50km north-west of Newman, Hope Downs 4 is a joint venture managed and operated by Rio Tinto, working in conjunction with nearby site Hope Downs 1. Hope Downs 4 provides excellent career growth and opportunities and the village provides excellent facilities for its fly-in fly-out workers.
