About the role
We are looking for a Specialist Asset Reliability to support the development and implementation of asset management strategies that optimise asset performance, risk and cost outcomes across our Pacific Operations.
This role combines technical asset management expertise with strategic thinking to improve the performance and value of our asset portfolio across the asset lifecycle. Reporting to the Manager Asset Planning & Reliability, you will work closely with operational, maintenance and leadership teams to identify improvement opportunities, solve complex asset challenges and enhance asset management capability across the business.
As a member of the Asset Management team, you will contribute to both operational and strategic initiatives, including asset strategy development, reliability improvement, lifecycle planning, asset optimisation and continuous improvement of asset management systems, processes and governance. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence outcomes across multiple sites and functions.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Manager Asset Planning and Reliability, your responsibilities will include:
- Support the development and execution of asset strategies to maximise value and optimise performance, risk and cost outcomes
- Provide specialist advice on reliability, lifecycle planning and asset optimisation
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to improve asset management practices, solve complex challenges and drive sustainable outcomes
- Use asset performance, risk and cost data to identify opportunities, prioritise initiatives and support informed decision making
- Lead or contribute to asset improvement, optimisation and strategic asset management initiatives
- Strengthen asset management capability through coaching, governance, continuous improvement and the development of asset management frameworks and standards
About you
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Asset Management, Reliability Engineering or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in asset management, reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, asset strategy or asset performance improvement
- Knowledge of asset management principles, lifecycle management, reliability methodologies (RCA, FMEA, RCM) and risk-based, decision-making frameworks
- Experience developing business cases, asset management plans, optimisation studies or improvement initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build effective relationships across operational and functional teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience within mining, resources, manufacturing, processing, energy or other asset-intensive industries
