Senior Adviser, Commercial Communications (Fixed term)

About the role
The Senior Adviser, Commercial Communications, supports the development and implementation of internal and external communication strategies for our Commercial business and provides communications and events support for the Singapore office.
Accountabilities
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Commercial Communications, Commercial External Affairs and Communications, the Senior Adviser, Commercial Communications
- Supports the development and delivery of effective and innovative strategic communications for key Commercial initiatives
- Supports the planning, development and delivery of messaging and content for internal communications channels, including newsletters, announcements, senior leaders’ messages, etc.
- Manages the activation of Group Communications campaigns for Commercial and for the Singapore office as appropriate.
- Supports employee engagement and employee communications, acting as a communication consultant and adviser to the Commercial leadership team (GMs and above).
- Uses communications to effectively foster employee engagement and pride, and to build and enhance Commercial’s reputation both within Commercial and across the Group.
- Cultivates key relationships with and influences stakeholders in Commercial and across the broader business to identify, plan and develop effective communications.
- Works collaboratively across the organisation to provide communications that meet business needs, timeframes and budget.
- Organises global Commercial town halls and supports Buy/Move/Sell team town halls as required.
- Manages Commercial video content creation including planning, production and delivery.
- Supports Commercial Connect newsletter content planning, creation, review, translation and distribution.
- Supports communications for the Marine team, including video production, internal and external event management, content review and speeches as requested.
- Supports communications activities for the Singapore office including planning, developing and delivering the Singapore office newsletter, and acts as communication consultant for Singapore office clubs and local teams.
- Manages digital communications channels including Element, Commercial and SLT mailboxes, Viva Engage channels, and Singapore office digital screens.
- Manages and coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for content execution.
- Acts as the Commercial representative for Group-wide communications networks.
- Ensures communications align with Group communications and brand standards and guidelines
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- A degree in communications or related discipline
- 6-8 years’ experience in communications roles
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated proficiency across a wide variety of audiences and constituencies
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Solid organisational skills, including attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A team-oriented individual with a positive attitude pro-active, results-driven, innovative and collaborative approach
- Curiosity about and interest in commercial aspects of the business
It will also be beneficial if you have:
- Experience in communication in the extractives sector
- Experience in working in a complex organization or multinational business
