About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Operational Readiness – Projects to work within the project framework providing for effective Asset Management rollout of our greenfield and brownfield projects.

Sustaining Capital delivers a portfolio of capital projects that support our mining and port operations to produce iron ore in a safe and cost-effective manner. This role is part of a team of engineers responsible for delivering projects from Initiation through to implementation and closure of the project.

This role is a great opportunity to apply your Operational Readiness knowledge and understanding of Asset Maintenance Readiness requirements on project handover.

Reporting to the Superintendent Operational Readiness, you will:

• Lead Operational Readiness requirements for more specialist, and complex projects

• Collaborate with Sustaining Capital Project Teams to align Operational Readiness processes with Asset Management Standards

• Managing all asset management data – technical information about the assets including technical drawings, bills of materials and maintenance tactics

• Provide support with the development and review of Project Deliverables with particular focus on Operational Readiness and transition to support deliverables of the new Assets to site

• Strong stakeholder management with working with internal and external stakeholders

What you’ll bring

• A Current “C Class” WA Driver’s license,

• Relevant Engineering Qualification or associated technical background in the mining industry,

• Project Management knowledge and experience.

• Understanding of Capital Projects and Operational Readiness processes

• Excellent stakeholder engagement

• Working knowledge of mining and port operations will be advantageous but not essential, as we are open to experience from other heavy industries such as oil/gas, aviation and manufacturing,

• Ability to work cooperatively with others, lead and work autonomously,

• 10+ years Maintenance and/or Operations Experience,

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills,

• Working knowledge of SAP, MSDT and MS Project would be advantageous.

This role will be based in Perth with site based travel as required.
