About the role

We are looking for an Administration Officer to be responsible for the delivery of efficient and effective administration support to the Engineering and Infrastructure Team. This is a newly formed department that houses Engineering, Capital Projects, Utilities, WWNP, and RDA. As we head into the final years before closing our operations, this department will provide support not just for Bauxite Operations but also for the delivery of our Closure Program goals and objectives.

You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, handling administrative processes, asset management, event coordination, and essential business functions.

This full-time, residential role offers an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to join our Engineering and Infrastructure Team.

What you’ll bring

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

• Proven experience in an administrative or coordination role, ideally within asset management, facilities, or business operations

• Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business applications

• A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across different teams

• A team player mindset, with a willingness to adapt and support others in a dynamic environment

• Exposure to SAP or similar business software would be highly regarded

Where you’ll be working

Our Gove site in Australia’s Northern Territory has been supplying the global aluminium industry with world-class bauxite for more than 40 years.

Gove bauxite is shipped internationally as well as domestically to supply Queensland Alumina Limited and Yarwun refineries in Gladstone, Queensland. These refineries produce alumina as feedstock for our Australian aluminium smelting operations and for sale on the international market.

We expect our bauxite mining operations in the Gove Peninsula will cease later this decade and we are doing significant work to support closure of the operation.
