About the role
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Supervisor – CMS and Logistics to join our Heritage Systems, Planning & Coordination team based in Perth.
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for managing a team of six Cultural Heritage Fieldwork Program Coordinators. Your focus will be on ensuring all logistics, contractor coordination, and pre-planning requirements are effectively delivered to support heritage fieldwork programs.
You will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement across heritage logistics processes, enabling streamlined, end-to-end delivery of fieldwork activities.

Reporting to the Manager Heritage Systems, Planning and Coordination, you will:

Drive management of heritage accommodation and travel demand across FIFO camps and support coordinators to ensure heritage fieldwork requirements are prioritised and met, including short term logistics requirements for heritage fieldwork program

Escalation and resolution pathways with accommodation constraints that impacts heritage fieldwork surveys
-
Identify trends in cultural heritage accommodation no-shows, unexpected arrivals, non-departures and similar, and escalate for resolution
-
Manage early forecasting of vehicle demand and heritage survey demand to escalate periods of HLA constraints.

Enable reporting of CMS monthly hours reporting for Traditional Owner Partnerships team

Support the team to ensure the C7 aviation standards are followed for helicopter assisted surveys
-
Ensure C7 annual reporting of usage and annual audits to review operational standards of contracting companies is completed to align with C7 aviation standards

Coach and mentor the Heritage coordinators team

Adhere to all Rio Tinto HSEC standards, policies and procedures

Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations

Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating and implementing improvement opportunities utilising a range of Rio Tinto best practices

Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties

Demonstrated safety leadership and a sound understanding of safety protocols and practices

Familiarity with HSEC standards and procedures, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement

A high level of adaptability, resilience, and versatility in dynamic and changing environments

Ability to respond swiftly and effectively to ad-hoc Talent Operations requests, maintaining quality and consistency under pressure
