About the role
We are looking for a Mechanical Tradesperson to join our Maintenance Breakdown Team, helping to ensure the safe and reliable operation of critical plant and equipment across site.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated, safety-focused tradesperson to work within a highly skilled maintenance team while developing expertise across a diverse range of equipment. Flexible roster options are available.
Reporting to the Supervisor and working within a supportive and collaborative team, you will:
- Carry out breakdown and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment
- Diagnose faults and implement effective repair solutions
- Maintain and improve cranes, compressors, conveying systems and potline equipment
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reliability and performance
- Complete maintenance activities in line with safety, quality and operational requirements
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to achieve shared outcomes
About you
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- NZ-recognised Level 4 (or higher) Mechanical Trade qualification
- Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces
