Un (e) Surintendant(e) Maintenance Equipements Mobiles
Objectif du poste
Le Superintendant MEM est responsable de la direction et de la coordination des activités de maintenance afin de garantir l’exploitation sûre, fiable et efficace des engins miniers mobiles lourds (Heavy Mobile Equipment – HME). Il supervise les équipes de maintenance, les sous-traitants ainsi que les processus d’exécution des travaux, tout en veillant au respect des normes de sécurité, d’environnement et d’exploitation.
Le titulaire du poste pilote la performance de la maintenance, le développement des compétences des équipes et les initiatives d’amélioration continue afin de maximiser la disponibilité des équipements, la fiabilité de la flotte et la productivité opérationnelle.
Principales responsabilités
- Diriger et gérer les équipes de maintenance intervenant sur les flottes d’engins miniers mobiles lourds (HME).
- Planifier, prioriser et coordonner les activités de maintenance afin de répondre aux exigences opérationnelles.
- Veiller à ce que les travaux de maintenance soient réalisés en toute sécurité, efficacement et conformément aux procédures de l’entreprise.
- Gérer les programmes quotidiens de maintenance, les maintenances planifiées, les remplacements de composants, les arrêts programmés ainsi que les interventions de réparation en cas de panne.
- Superviser les activités de maintenance et de fiabilité des HME, notamment :
- Tombereaux miniers (haul trucks)
- Pelles hydrauliques
- Chargeuses
- Niveleuses
- Bulldozers
- Foreuses
- Camions-citernes d’arrosage
- Équipements miniers auxiliaires
- Surveiller les performances des équipements et mettre en œuvre des stratégies visant à améliorer la fiabilité, la disponibilité et le taux d’utilisation de la flotte.
- Superviser les ressources, les matériels, les outils et les sous-traitants nécessaires aux activités de maintenance.
- Piloter les enquêtes relatives aux défaillances des équipements et mettre en œuvre les actions correctives et préventives appropriées.
- Garantir le respect des exigences en matière de santé, sécurité, environnement et réglementation.
- Développer les compétences des équipes grâce au coaching, au mentorat et à la gestion de la performance.
- Réaliser régulièrement des évaluations de performance et mettre en place des programmes de formation visant à renforcer les compétences techniques et la sensibilisation à la sécurité.
- Suivre les coûts de maintenance et contribuer à la planification budgétaire, aux prévisions et au contrôle des coûts.
- Analyser les indicateurs clés de performance (KPI) de la maintenance de flotte, notamment :
- Disponibilité des équipements
- Taux d’utilisation
- Temps moyen entre pannes (MTBF)
- Temps moyen de réparation (MTTR)
- Taux de conformité de la maintenance
- Performance des coûts de maintenance
- Veiller à l’intégration dans les programmes de maintenance des standards OEM, des exigences de garantie et des meilleures pratiques du secteur.
- Soutenir les initiatives d’amélioration continue et la mise en œuvre des meilleures pratiques de maintenance.
- Préparer et présenter à la direction les rapports de performance de la maintenance.
- Promouvoir une culture positive de la sécurité et l’excellence opérationnelle.
Compétences et qualifications
- Licence/Bachelor en Génie Mécanique, Génie de la Maintenance, Ingénierie des Équipements Lourds, ou qualification professionnelle de Mécanicien Engins Lourds (Heavy Duty Fitter), ou dans une discipline connexe.
- Minimum de 8 à 12 ans d’expérience en maintenance dans les secteurs miniers, industriels lourds ou les opérations de flotte mobile.
- Minimum de 3 à 5 ans d’expérience dans un poste de direction de la maintenance ou à un niveau de superintendance.
- Expérience démontrée dans la gestion de grandes équipes de maintenance HME, de sous-traitants et d’activités majeures de maintenance.
- Solide compréhension de la gestion des actifs, de la planification de la maintenance de flotte, de la budgétisation et de la gestion des effectifs.
- Expérience avérée dans la gestion de flottes d’engins miniers mobiles lourds, comprenant notamment les tombereaux miniers, pelles hydrauliques, chargeuses, bulldozers, foreuses, niveleuses et équipements de soutien.
- Excellente connaissance des pratiques de maintenance OEM pour les équipements Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, Epiroc, Sandvik ou équivalents.
- Expérience dans le développement et la mise en œuvre de stratégies de maintenance et de fiabilité visant à améliorer la disponibilité de la flotte et les performances des équipements.
- Bonne maîtrise des indicateurs de performance des flottes, notamment la disponibilité, l’utilisation, le MTBF, le MTTR, la durée de vie des composants et le contrôle des coûts de maintenance.
- Capacité démontrée à piloter des initiatives de sécurité et à développer une forte culture sécurité.
- Expérience de l’utilisation de systèmes GMAO et de gestion de flotte tels que SAP PM, Ellipse ou équivalents.
- Excellentes compétences en gestion des parties prenantes, leadership, coaching et prise de décision.

- Langue : anglais obligatoire ; français souhaité.
- Capacité à travailler dans des environnements miniers isolés et à effectuer des déplacements selon les besoins opérationnels.
- Engagement fort envers la sécurité et l’amélioration continue.
- En raison de l’éloignement du site et des contraintes liées aux déplacements, ce poste requiert une situation personnelle stable et bien organisée. Les personnes à charge doivent disposer d’un soutien adéquat pendant les périodes d’absence de l’employé.

About the Simandou Project
The Simandou Iron Ore Project is located in the Republic of Guinea, West Africa. It is Africa’s largest infrastructure and mining project and represents one of the largest known reserves of high-grade iron ore in the world.
Rio Tinto holds rights to Simandou Blocks 3 and 4 through SimFer, a joint venture between the Government of the Republic of Guinea, Rio Tinto and Chalco Iron Ore Holdings (CIOH). Construction of the mine, together with the associated rail and port infrastructure, is well underway with first production from the SimFer mine expected in 2025.
