About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Adviser Data & Analytics – Finance to support the migration of Finance data from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA as part of Rio Tinto's global Modern ERP program.
Working within a collaborative Finance Data Migration team, you will help ensure financial data is accurate, complete and ready to support business operations, reporting and decision-making from day one. You will work closely with Finance subject matter experts, SAP functional consultants, technical teams and business stakeholders to support migration planning, validation, reconciliation and deployment activities across the program lifecycle.

What you'll be doing

Analyse Finance data to assess quality, completeness and readiness for migration to SAP S/4HANA.

Support the development of migration rules, mappings and transformation requirements.

Identify data quality issues and work with business and technical teams to coordinate remediation activities.

Execute data validation and reconciliation activities to ensure migrated data is accurate and complete.

Investigate reconciliation variances and support issue resolution with Finance and SAP stakeholders.

Support mock migrations, testing cycles and deployment activities, including SIT and UAT phases.

Contribute to cutover planning and deployment readiness activities to support successful go-live outcomes.

Collaborate with Finance SMEs, SAP functional consultants and technical teams to continuously improve migration processes and governance.
What you'll bring

Experience delivering SAP Finance data migration activities within large ERP transformation or SAP implementation programs.

Strong understanding of SAP Finance (FI/CO) master data, transactional data and related business processes.

Proven capability in financial data validation, reconciliation and issue investigation.
-
Experience supporting testing, mock migrations, deployment activities and production cutovers.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and business rules.

Experience working with data mappings, transformation logic and migration specifications.
-
SQL querying skills and experience validating data across relational databases.
-
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across Finance, functional and technical teams.
Desirable
-
SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation experience.

Experience with SAP Migration Cockpit, DMLT or similar migration tools.

Finance reporting, reconciliation or period-end process experience.

Experience working within large, global organisations, ideally in mining, resources or other complex industries.
