About the role
We are looking for a Specialist Environment – Contractor Management to develop, implement and continually improve the contractor management framework for Environment Technical Delivery. Working within the Environment & Land Access Technical Delivery team, you will partner with Environment teams, Contractor Management, Procurement, and external vendors to support the safe and effective delivery of environmental compliance and performance activities across our operations.
This is a great opportunity for someone experienced in contractor management, or an environmental professional who enjoys improving systems and processes, coordinating complex work programs and helping operational teams engage the right contractors.
What you’ll be doing
Working with Environment Technical Delivery teams and key functional partners, you will:
• Develop, govern and improve contractor management processes for Environment Technical Delivery.
• Support vendor identification, selection and procurement processes for environmental services.
• Support the initiation, renewal and ongoing management of environment contracts.
• Develop and review scopes of work and contract requirements, ensuring environmental compliance requirements are addressed.
• Coordinate schedules, logistics, pre-mobilisation and site mobilisation for environmental contractors and consultants.
• Support delivery of site-specific and Pilbara-wide contracts in line with agreed work scopes.
• Manage and improve the vendor performance review process for environment vendors.
• Provide coaching and practical support to Environment teams on contractor management processes.
• Contribute to the development and governance of the Environment Contract Strategy in partnership with Procurement.
• Build strong relationships with operational teams, functional partners, contractors and consultants, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Required for Success
• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
• A tertiary qualification in environmental science, environmental management, business, procurement or a related discipline.
• At least five years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in contract management, contractor management or the delivery of contracted environmental services.
• Experience developing contractor management frameworks, processes, scopes of work or contract requirements.
• Strong scheduling, logistics and project management capability, including the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively with operational teams and external vendors.
Helpful for Success
• Experience supporting vendor identification, selection or procurement processes.
• Experience coordinating contractor pre-mobilisation and site mobilisation.
• Experience managing vendor performance reviews or contractor performance improvement activities.
• Experience working in mining, resources or another large operational environment.
• Environmental experience or an understanding of environmental compliance and performance requirements.
