- Develop, review and maintain Control Room standards, procedures, work instructions and operating practices that support safe, consistent and efficient execution across CAT and Komatsu operations, while accommodating site-specific requirements where necessary.
- Partner with controllers, site teams and technical specialists to identify process gaps, translate operational learnings into practical improvements and support the effective use of systems, processes and procedures.
- Support the implementation of new and revised procedures, including communication, controller familiarisation, adoption and the capture of learnings across operations.
- Identify recurring system issues, operational constraints, alarms and performance trends, and analyse progress against plans, schedules, system measures and continuous improvement activities.
- Support system configuration, testing, upgrades and operational readiness activities within established governance and change-management processes.
- Collaborate with Caterpillar, Komatsu, site operations, Integrated Operations, Control Technical Services, maintenance and technology teams to resolve issues, improve system reliability, strengthen standardisation and enhance operational performance.
What you’ll bring
- A tertiary qualification in mining engineering, data analytics, technology, STEM or a related discipline, or equivalent operational experience.

- Experience with CAT MineStar / Command for Hauling, Komatsu FrontRunner / DISPATCH or similar fleet management and autonomous haulage systems will be highly regarded.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret operational and system data, identify trends and translate insights into practical improvements.
- Experience developing or applying operational standards, procedures, work instructions and change-management practices.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across controllers, operations, maintenance, technology teams and OEM partners.
- A proactive and curious mindset, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- A current and valid Australian C class driver’s licence.
- A strong commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
