- Coordinate inspection access and priorities with Planning and Scheduling, Train Control, Asset Health, Rail Operations and maintenance stakeholders.
- Respond to call-outs and urgent inspection requirements while maintaining effective communication and safe work practices.
- Record, assign and update maintenance tasks in SAP in accordance with work management requirements and relevant specifications.

- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

- Ability to prepare accurate written defect and maintenance reports and communicate inspection findings clearly with operational and maintenance stakeholders.
- Computer literacy and the ability to use digital inspection systems and SAP to record, assign and track maintenance work.
- Previous experience as a Track Inspector or in rail infrastructure inspection, maintenance or condition monitoring (ideally 5 years)
Helpful for Success
- A Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure or another relevant rail qualification.
- Knowledge of track measuring, inspection and recording equipment.
- Experience working across a heavy haul rail network or another safety-critical transport environment.
- Practical problem-solving skills and confidence coordinating work with multiple stakeholders where priorities can change.

Where you’ll be working
You will be based in Karratha at our 7 Mile rail facility. Our privately owned and operated rail network is an essential part of our integrated production process and services our 16 mines across the Pilbara via 1,700km of track. With depots located at Tom Price, Cape Lambert and Dampier (7 Mile), each train is operated by a single driver and comprises up to three locomotives and 240 ore cars stretching to approximately 2.7 kilometres in length with over 40 trains operating per day.
